Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who was present at the International Space Station (ISS) under the Axiom-4 Mission, interacted with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) President V. Narayanan. The ISRO chief appreciated the efforts of the Space Agency in ensuring his safe visit and thanked the entire team’s efforts. Along with this, he also inquired about the scientific experiments being conducted by the crew of the Axiom-4 mission.

What happened between the two?

The Indian Space Agency reported that this phone call was made on the afternoon of 6 July. In this conversation, the ISRO chief asked Shubhanshu Shukla’s well-being and wanted to know which scientific experiments and activities are going on on ISS. He also said that after returning to Earth, he should prepare all the experiments and experiences in detail as a document, so that India’s human space mission can get information for Gaganyaan.

Shukla’s mission is important for Gaganyaan

ISRO top officials participated in the discussion between Shukla and Narayanan. These included Dr. Unnikrishnan Nair, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) and Chairman of Program Management Council for Human Space Program. The Indian Space Agency said that the aim of the Gaganyaan Mission is to prove India’s ability that it can send humans to the lower orbit of the earth on its own and this mission of Shukla will prove to be helpful in this.
