A very surprising incident has come to light in Belagavi district of Karnataka. In a shocking incident on Monday night in Aman Nagar of the area, three youths died while the condition of one remains critical. According to the information, to save themselves from the cold, these youth lit the fireplace and closed the room, due to which carbon monoxide gas entered their bodies while they were sleeping and three youths died, while the condition of one is critical.

How did three people lose their lives?

According to information received from police sources, the four youths returned home late at night after attending a wedding and went to sleep in a room where there was little or no air flow. Due to the cold of the night, they kept a traditional charcoal stove burning throughout the night. Due to lack of air flow, carbon monoxide levels in the room reached lethal levels.

The incident came to light on Tuesday evening when neighbors broke the door of the youth after repeatedly calling them and getting no response. The deceased have been identified as Rihan Matte (22), Sarfaraz Harappanahalli (22) and Moin Nalband (23). Shanwaz, who survived, is currently in the ICU of a private hospital. The bodies were taken to BIMS Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered at Malmaruti police station.

Carbon monoxide is very dangerous

Carbon monoxide is extremely poisonous because it prevents the blood from delivering oxygen to vital organs. When inhaled, it combines with hemoglobin to form carboxyhemoglobin, causing severe oxygen deficiency. Police confirmed that the deaths were due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
