Sathya Sai Baba Birth Centenary Celebrations: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to late spiritual guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba at a program organized in Sri Sathyasai district of Andhra Pradesh. PM Modi also released a coin and a set of postage stamps in his memory on the occasion of the birth centenary celebrations of Satya Sai Baba. Remembering the spiritual guru, PM Modi said that his teachings and service will always guide his millions of followers in the world.

Prime Minister Modi said, “The centenary celebration program of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is not just a celebration, but a divine blessing. Even though Sai Baba is not physically with us, his spirit of love and service is the guiding force for crores of people.” He also said that millions of devotees of Sathya Sai Baba in 140 countries are getting new light and direction. His followers are continuously moving forward.

PM Modi said that Sri Sathya Sai Baba kept service at the focus of human life. Our different spiritual and philosophical traditions lead to the same idea, whether one follows the path of devotion, knowledge or karma. Describing his government schemes for the welfare of the poor, PM Modi said that now they are being discussed in international forums.
PM Modi also mentioned “Local for Vocal”
Emphasizing on “local for vocal”, Prime Minister Modi said that this will help the country in becoming a “developed India”. On this occasion, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and many other big names were also present in the program.
