New Delhi: There has been a lot of change in the diplomatic relations between the two countries in recent times after the return of Taliban to power in Afghanistan. However, India has not yet given further formal recognition to the Taliban. Nevertheless, both the countries want to give a new dimension to mutual relations by restoring trust. In this series, Afghanistan’s Industry and Commerce Minister Nooruddin Azizi has reached New Delhi on a five-day visit to India. The purpose of this visit is to further strengthen trade cooperation with India.

interest of both countries

Experts believe that the visit of Afghanistan’s Industry and Commerce Minister to India is not just a meeting but a part of the changing geopolitical balance. Afghanistan will not only benefit from this tour, India is also going to benefit a lot. Let us tell you that the Taliban regime of Afghanistan has not been formally recognized in any country in the world, but India is cooperating with it in the economic sector. The Taliban government also wants to strengthen ties with India after relations with Pakistan deteriorated in recent times.

Afghanistan took important decisions

Let us tell you that in the last few days, the Government of Afghanistan has taken some such decisions which strengthen the relations between the two countries. Afghan airline Ariana Airlines had reduced fares on the Kabul-Delhi cargo route. This decision was taken to make it easier for traders to send goods to India. Most of the trade between India and Afghanistan happens through air cargo and Chabahar Port. After the closure of Turkham border, both these routes have become even more important.

What will be the matter in the visit of the great-grandfather?

During Azizi’s visit, there will be talks on increasing trade between the two countries, as well as on investment and better use of the Chabahar route. India’s practical strategy is clearly visible in this high level conversation. Through such relations, it also wants to protect its huge investment in Afghanistan and especially wants to compete with Pakistan and China. This is the reason why even though it has not given political recognition to Taliban, it is talking directly to the Taliban government.
