A complaint has been filed against Nayana, an actress and comedian of Comedy Kiladigalu fame. A Dalit organization has filed a complaint against actress Nayana, accusing her of insulting Dalits. The President of Dalit Sena in Kalaburgi filed a complaint at the police station saying that the words Nayana used while talking about the chit fund scam last month were anti-Dalit and caste abuse and action should be taken against her.
Incidentally, on the 29th of last month in Saraswatipur, Mysore, Nayana, who had spoken about the Mysore Metro Minimithi Chit Fund scam, had used a caste-referential term to insult the chit funders. After that, he added the dirty word to it. Now Manjunath, the president of Kalaburgi’s Dalit Sena Organization, has filed a complaint against Nayana and has demanded action against the actress.
Nayana is a savant who has an anti-Dalit mindset and this is confirmed by his words. They have asked that action should be taken against Nayan as the sentiments of the people of the community have been hurt by his words. Based on Manjunath’s complaint, a complaint has been registered against the actress under the Prevention of Atrocities Act and investigation is underway.

Earlier actor Upendra also used the same word in one of his videos. Even then many pro-Dalit organizations filed complaints against actor Upendra. Upendra used a proverbial caste-indicative word in his video. Apart from filing a complaint against Upendra, protests were also held in many districts of the state. Now actress Nayana has also used the same word. A complaint has also been registered against him.
