Bangalore: A Gram Panchayat employee, who had been protesting indefinitely at Freedom Park in Bengaluru for the past few days demanding the fulfillment of various demands, died of a heart attack early today.
Usman Gani Mulla (45), who was working as a waterman in Gunaki village panchayat of Babaleshwar taluk of Vijayapur district, died unfortunately. Usman Gani had arrived in Bangalore to participate in the ongoing protest led by the state CITU. He participated in the protest till 11 pm on Saturday and then stayed in a private hotel. He died of a heart attack at around 6 am today.

The health condition of another employee who participated in the same protest is critical and has been admitted to the emergency unit. Minister Cheluvarayaswamy visited the protest site after learning about the matter, received the protestors’ report and informed the concerned authorities.
