Davangere Vidyanagar police in a major operation – Congress leader caught during drug deal! – Btv Kannada

Davangere: Vidyanagar police in Davangere conducted an operation against the drug network and arrested real estate businessman and Congress leader Shamanur Vedamurthy, who was dealing drugs with a team from Rajasthan.

Accused Vedamurthy is suspected to have links with drug peddlers of Rajasthan and was supplying drugs to students of prestigious colleges in the city. Police have recovered prohibited drugs including ganja from the arrested.

Vedamurthy, who is a Congress leader and a real estate businessman, has been suspected of running the business using political influence. At present, the police have remanded the accused in judicial custody and have accelerated the investigation to find others in the network.
