Bangalore: BJP MLA Bhairati Basavaraj has gone into hiding due to the fear of arrest in the Biklu Shiva murder case. Yesterday, the court rejected his anticipatory bail application and the CID police intensified the search.

Bhairati Basavaraj, who switched off her mobile phone as the bail application was being rejected, left for an unknown place after the Belgaum session. Three special teams of CID are also searching in other states to trace him. A look out notice has been issued by Interpol to prevent him from fleeing abroad and he is likely to be arrested at any moment.

Bhairati Basavaraj, who is facing arrest, is all set to file an anticipatory bail application in the Supreme Court from an undisclosed location.
