Bangalore: The newlywed Ganavi died within a month and a half of her marriage. She had tried to commit suicide due to a quarrel with her husband Suraj during the honeymoon, and she breathed her last in the hospital late at night after the treatment failed. This incident took place in the area of ​​Ramamurthynagar police station.

Ganavi and Suraj, who had gone on honeymoon, got into a heated argument, so they cut short their trip and returned on Sunday. Ganavi’s parents brought her to their home on Monday after the fight turned ugly.

Ganavi, who was at his home, tried to surrender by hanging on Wednesday afternoon. Noticing this, the family immediately rescued him and admitted him to a private hospital and treated him in the ICU. However, the doctor said that Ganavi is ‘brain dead’. Eventually, the treatment failed and he died.

Parents have alleged that the reason for Ganavi’s death was the harassment of her husband Suraj and family members. In this regard, a case has been registered in Ramamurthynagar police station under the charges of dowry harassment and incitement to suicide. This incident took place only one and a half months after the marriage and the police has expedited the investigation by interrogating Suraj’s family members.
