Counterfeit notes in the fair – six Khadeems! – Btv Kannada

Vijayanagar: Over-the-limit fake note rampage in Vijayanagara, Harpanahalli 500 in Araseikere Durgadevi Jatra. The police have arrested a gang that was running fake currency notes.

The fake note network was busted by tracking down six accused who were taking advantage of the crowd and defrauding businessmen in just 24 hours.

In connection with the case, six persons including Narendra Prasad, Mohammed Akhil, Mohammed Rihaj, Babu, Kumaraswamy and a minor have been arrested. 40,000 from the accused. 80 worth of fake notes (Rs. 500 face value), one goods vehicle, two bikes and 5 mobiles were seized.

Public appreciation was received for this quick operation of the police and a case was registered in Araseekere police station. Investigations are on to find the others behind this network.
