Thieves’ spree in Mumareddikoppa – 12 gram gold feet of Goddess stolen! – Btv Kannada

Bagalkot: In Mumareddikoppa of Badami taluk, thieves tried to commit a series of thefts and created panic among the villagers. The golden feet of Yallamma Devi, weighing 12 grams, were stolen from the verandah of Muttanna Yaragoppa’s house.

The problem of thieves is not limited to just one house, they broke the offering box (hundi) of the village dargah and stole money. Also, they tried unsuccessfully to steal from five more houses.

As soon as the matter came to know, the Badami police visited the spot and conducted an investigation with the dog squad. The villagers are worried about the serial theft and have demanded to increase the night patrolling.
