Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the much-awaited Vande Bharat sleeper train between Guwahati and Kolkata later this month. Showing the advanced features of the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this is the first Vande Bharat sleeper train connecting two states.
This is an advanced train from safety point of view
Different features have been installed in this train for the convenience of the passengers. Special care will be taken of cleanliness in this train. From the safety point of view it is also an advanced train, which has a fire safety system. There is a water sprinkler machine. There is AI integrated camera, sensor door.
Local food will be served to passengers
The Railway Minister said that the running of this train will affect the traffic from Kolkata to Assam. A large section of people will be able to travel by this train. The train is a luxury but the fare has been fixed keeping in mind the pockets of the middle class. Special attention will also be given to food in this train. Local food will be served to the passengers.
11 coaches of third AC in 11 compartment train
This train of 16 coaches includes 11 coaches of Third AC, four coaches of Second AC and one coach of First AC. Out of total 823 seats, 611 are in Third AC, 188 in Second AC and 24 in First AC.
Better suspension and quieter ride
Other features available in the train include ergonomically designed berths with better cushioning, automatic doors with vestibules for smooth movement, improved suspension and improved travel comfort by reducing noise, Automatic Train Protection System (APC), emergency talk-back system and disinfection technology to maintain high hygiene standards. Railway Minister Vaishnav said, ‘This disinfection technology will destroy 99.9 percent of germs. The same technology is also being used in the Vande Bharat chair-car version.
