Video: Devotee suffers heart attack during Aarti in Har Ki Paidi, dies in hospital

During Ganga Aarti at Harki Paidi in Haridwar, a devotee from Gujarat suddenly had a heart attack. When the devotee became unconscious and fell down, there was chaos on the spot. As soon as the information was received, Harki Paidi Chowki police immediately reached the spot and took the unconscious devotee to the district hospital. On reaching the hospital, the doctors started treatment, but the devotee died during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Jagdish Bhai Gokani, a resident of Berawal, Somnath, Gujarat. Jagdish Bhai had come to Haridwar with his family to take a dip in the Ganges but he died of a sudden heart attack.

According to the police, Ganga Aarti was taking place in the evening last Friday evening at Harki Paidi in Haridwar. Like everyday, there was a huge crowd gathered at Harki Paadi. Then suddenly during Ganga Aarti, a devotee from Gujarat had a heart attack, due to which he fell unconscious. There was chaos among the family members of the devotee present at the spot when his health suddenly deteriorated.

Police help did not help

The family members had no idea what to do in this difficult situation. Meanwhile, someone informed the Harki Paidi Chowki police about the deteriorating health of a devotee. As soon as the information was received, Harki Paidi police post in-charge Sanjeet Kandari along with his police team immediately reached the spot and without wasting a moment, immediately picked up the devotee in his hands and came out of Harki Paidi. He was immediately seated in the police vehicle parked outside Harki Paidi outpost and sent to the district hospital. The difficulties present in the hospital provided necessary medical assistance to the devotee. But devotee Jagdish Bhai died during treatment.

City Kotwali in-charge Ritesh Shah said that during the Ganga Aarti in the evening, information was received about the health of one person deteriorating among the devotees. After which he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. But he died during treatment in the hospital. He told that the deceased were residents of Gujarat. Who has been identified as Jagdish Bhai Gokani, resident of Berawal, District Somnath, Gujarat. Told that the Panchnama of the dead body is being filled. Necessary action will be taken according to the family members.
