Pudukottai (Tamil Nadu): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday described the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government as the most corrupt government in entire India and expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal this year.
Addressing a massive BJP rally here, Shah detailed the victories of the BJP-NDA since 2024, including the third consecutive win in Haryana. Shah said that now it is the turn of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Accusing the ruling party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of corruption, he asked whether the state can progress with an ‘army of corrupt ministers’?
Shah targets nepotism in Tamil Nadu
Shah criticized the ruling DMK government and Chief Minister M.K. He also launched a scathing attack on Stalin and accused him of giving priority to political succession rather than the welfare of the people. Shah said, “The time has come to end nepotism in Tamil Nadu. This dream of first Karunanidhi, then Stalin, and now Udhayanidhi becoming the Chief Minister will not come true.” He further claimed that the Tamil Nadu government is only focused on making Udhayanidhi Stalin the next Chief Minister rather than solving the serious issues facing the state.
Amit Shah took a strong stance on security issues, especially the safety of women in the state. “There is no guarantee of safety for mothers and sisters in Tamil Nadu,” Shah said. He criticized the present state government for ignoring the safety of women and the general law and order situation. He accused Chief Minister Stalin of using his political power for family succession instead of paying attention to the urgent needs of the citizens of Tamil Nadu.
