Congress leader Suresh Kalmadi passed away, breathed his last after prolonged illness.

Senior Congress party leader and former Union Minister Suresh Kalmadi passed away on Monday. Kalmadi’s family sources gave this information on Monday. According to the information, Suresh Kalmadi was 81 years old and was ill for a long time. He died at 3:30 am on Tuesday in Pune after a prolonged illness.

When will the funeral take place?

According to the information revealed, the mortal remains of Suresh Kalmadi will be kept for last darshan at Kalmadi House in Erandwane till 2 pm today. At the same time, his last rites will be performed today at 3:30 pm at Vaikuntha Crematorium, Navi Peth, Pune. Suresh Kalmadi is survived by his wife, a married son, daughter-in-law, two married daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Suresh Kalmadi was a former MP from Pune, Maharashtra. He had also held the post of Minister of State for Railways in the Central Government and President of the Indian Olympic Association.
