New Delhi: The effect of cold is visible in all the states of the country. It is extremely cold here and it is becoming difficult for people to leave their homes. The situation is such that there is a cold wave alert in 15 districts of North India. The temperature of Delhi-NCR is likely to drop further. Rain alert has been issued in Jammu, Uttarakhand and Himachal. Apart from this, there is a possibility of severe fog in UP, Haryana and Punjab.

It is extremely cold these days in North India. Due to snowfall and rain in the hilly areas, the problems of the people in the plains have increased. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of cold wave and cold day in many states of North India for the next few days.

It will rain in these states

According to IMD, there will be rain in Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir and Himachal today, which will have a direct impact on North India. The cold wave will increase in the next few days. In such a situation, people have been asked to be very cautious. After the mountains, it may rain in the plains also. According to the department, there is a possibility of severe fog in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha for the next 4-5 days.

Highest snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir

Maximum snowfall is occurring in Jammu and Kashmir. The situation is such that it has become difficult to differentiate between roads and fields. Snow cutter machines are running on the roads to remove snow and the valley has turned white due to heavy snowfall.

From Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh, everything including roads, trees, branches has frozen. The valleys are covered with snow. As far as the eyes can see, only snow will be visible. Areas up to Chamba, Manali, Bhaderwah and Gulmarg are visible with white sheets and tourists are enjoying this wonderful view.

Along with Himachal, snowfall continues in Uttarakhand also. The temple complex and surrounding areas in Kedarnath are completely covered with a thick blanket of snow. This is the second snowfall of this winter in Kedarnath Dham. Cold wave and fog are continuing in Dehradun, due to which the Meteorological Department is on alert. According to IMD, snowfall will continue in the hilly states.
