Bomb threat to Sedam Tahsildar office – Bomb squad rushed to the spot! – Btv Kannada

Kalaburagi: A bomb threat e-mail was received at the Sedam Tehsildar’s office in Kalaburagi district in the early hours of this morning, which has created anxiety among the public. The miscreants sent two separate threatening messages to the office’s official e-mail ID. Noticing this, the staff immediately informed the Tehsildar and the local police.

As soon as the matter came to know, the police rushed to the spot and seized the office premises. Staff and public have been sent out of the office as a precautionary measure. Every corner is being checked by the bomb detection and dog squad which has arrived from Kalaburagi. At present, tight security has been arranged around the office and public access has been temporarily restricted.

The police have started an investigation with the help of a technical team about the source of this e-mail. Whether it is a fake threat or an act of mischief, it is to be known after inspection. At present, there is panic in the office premises and the police have requested the public not to panic.
