Merotsava in Chitrakala Parishad – actress Anu Prabhakar participates!

Mysore Paintings and Thanjavur Paintings painted by the students of Meru Art School were put on display in the Merotsava program organized at Chitrakala Parishad today. Playback singer Shamita Malnad, actress Anu Prabhakar, film artist Neelapanch, film artist Dr. Dundaraj, columnist Srikanth Balaganchi and film director K Ramanarayan were the chief guests for the program.

Tirumala Srikanth, the founder of Meru School of Painting and an artist, said that it is our responsibility to introduce the glory of our tradition and culture to the next generation, so we organized a Merotsava for three days on January 9, 10 and 11 to display the pictures created by the students of Meru School of Painting at Devaraj Aras Gallery of Chitrakala Parishad.

Actress Anuprabhakar, who arrived at the event, shared her feelings that when she was young, she was also interested in becoming a film artist. Similarly, singer Shamita Malnad expressed her desire to learn and write such pictures while she used to write Betta Gudda trees.

Neela Panch wished and praised all the students. And columnist Srikanth Balagunchi said, Continue Guru’s legacy. Dr. J Dundaraj expressed his happiness that he is proud to see that his disciple Tirumala Srikanth is organizing a large-scale Merotsava program today.

Film director Rama Narayan said that his sibling Tirumala Srikanth was an ordinary housewife and it was her discipline and dedication that made her hobby of painting such a huge success today.
