All users will get the facility to respond with emoji on email

What is the news?

Google is making its emoji reactions feature available by default to all Workspace users with personal Gmail accounts starting February 9. This feature was introduced for personal accounts 2 years ago. At the moment, the forward button is hidden behind a small smiley icon next to it. Clicking this icon opens several emojis that can be used instead of a written response.

This is how you will get reaction through emoji

When a Gmail user responds to an email with an emoji, the recipient sees that reaction at the bottom of the email and as an update in their inbox. If the recipient is using another email service or has disabled emoji reactions, he or she will get a message saying ‘You responded via Gmail’. This way everyone will remain updated about these new features.

Feedback will also give information about these things

When you react using emoji, the recipient will know how many people have reacted to the message and which emoji was used. You can also see who responded by hovering over each reaction. However, Google has clarified that this option will not be available for all emails, including emails sent to a group email list or emails with more than 20 recipients.
