America has carried out air strikes on the targets of terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the attacks targeted several ISIS positions in different areas of Syria. According to CENTCOM, ISIS bases, weapons and structures were destroyed in this operation. This is the second time in recent times that America has attacked ISIS targets.

“The strikes targeted ISIS as part of our commitment to end Islamic terrorism, deter future attacks, and protect U.S. and partner forces in the region,” CENTCOM said. On December 13, 2025, an attacker opened fire on US and Syrian troops in Palmyra, central Syria. In this, two soldiers of Syrian security forces and many American soldiers were injured.
