New York Post Speaking to PTI, a soldier deployed to protect Maduro said, “We were alert, but suddenly the radars went off without any reason. Then we saw drones. A lot of drones were flying over our positions. We didn’t know what to do. After some time, helicopters appeared. I think there were 8 helicopters and about 20 of them landed.”

The soldier continued, “Those few men had come with weapons far more powerful than guns. They were very advanced technologically. They looked nothing like we had ever encountered before. There were hundreds of us, but we had no chance. They were firing with such accuracy and speed that it seemed as if each soldier was firing 300 bullets a minute.”
