Amidst the severe economic crisis in Iran, 544 people have died so far in the ongoing protests against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. The US-based human rights activist agency said the dead included 496 protesters and 48 security forces personnel. So far, 10,600 people have been detained in the protests that have been going on for the last two weeks in different cities of the country. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump’s statement has come.

Trump said- Iran wants to talk after threat

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said that Iran now wants to talk after their threat of attack. He said his administration was in talks with Tehran to organize the meeting. Trump warned that he may have to act first as the death toll in Iran continues to rise and the government continues to arrest protesters.
