Interrogation of actor and TVK Chief Vijay continues at CBI Headquarters, know what are the important questions

Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and actor Vijay Karur reached CBI headquarters for questioning in the stampede case. After this he was taken to the team investigating the stampede case. Officials said that CBI has already interrogated many party officials in this case. He said that after examining the answers given by Vijay during his interrogation on Monday, CBI will take a decision on filing charge sheet in this case. After the order of the Supreme Court, CBI took over the case from the SIT and is collecting evidence.

Actor Vijay will be interrogated

Actually, in the recent stampede case in Karur, Tamil Nadu, actor and TVK Chief Vijay reached the CBI Headquarters in New Delhi. Today Vijay is being interrogated in this matter. Vijay’s statement will also be recorded. Earlier, the statements of some other leaders of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) were also recorded by the CBI. Let us tell you that there was a sudden stampede during a political rally in Karur district of Tamil Nadu. The incident took place on September 27, 2025, when a huge crowd gathered to see actor Vijay’s convoy during his political rally. At least 41 people died in the stampede, while around 100 were injured.

CBI will present charge sheet soon

Let us tell you that after this tragic stampede incident in Karur, SIT was formed in this case. After this the case was transferred to CBI. In such a situation, CBI is interrogating Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) Chief Vijay in this case today and recording his statement, so that the charge sheet can be filed in the court as soon as possible. Today on Monday, TVK Chief Vijay reached CBI Headquarters with lawyers. During this time, some supporters of TVK Party had also reached outside the CBI Headquarters. Banners and posters were also seen in his hands.

Interrogation begins with Vijay

According to the information, CBI SP and an Inspector are currently interrogating Vijay. His interrogation has been started at the headquarters at 12 noon. According to sources, the main focus of the CBI inquiry will be on the arrangements for the program held that day, the activities of Vijay and his party workers and coordination with the administration. The investigating agency will try to find out why there was a delay of about seven hours in Vijay reaching the venue. It is alleged that there was a huge gap between the scheduled time and Vijay’s arrival.

What questions will CBE ask?

The CBI will also ask whether the party workers present at the spot, along with the police and district administration, made efforts to control the crowd as the estimated crowd of 10,000 swelled to around 30,000. Apart from this, there will be questions on the delay in arrival of Vijay and his party workers, documents related to the permission of the programme, and who organized the program in Karur. Who took the decision to organize the program in Karur and when Vijay was informed about it, these aspects will also be investigated.

CBI will also interrogate Vijay whether any kind of risk assessment was done with the administration before the event, and whether basic arrangements like water, safe entry and exit were made for the crowd or not? An important question in the investigation will also be that how did Vijay’s convoy pass through the crowd and whether coordination was done with the local police during this period or not? Apart from this, CBI also wants clarity on when Vijay got information about the stampede and when he reached the venue and left from there.

Many people have already been questioned

According to sources, last week the CBI had also summoned the Tamil Nadu Police personnel who were deployed for Vijay’s security that day. He was called to Karur Base Camp and interrogated and questions were asked about Vijay’s activities and his movement time on the day of the stampede. Earlier, CBI District Collector M. Thangavel and SP K. The statement of Jose, who was present at the spot on the day of the stampede, has also been recorded. According to sources, during the interrogation, the CBI will also show Vijay the documents related to the permission for the Karur rally and the statements of various witnesses.
