It is extremely cold these days across North India. Winter has broken records in Delhi. The first and most severe cold wave of this season was recorded in the capital Delhi, where the minimum temperature in Ayanagar dropped to 2.9 degrees Celsius. From Uttar Pradesh-Bihar to Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal and Kashmir are in the grip of cold. However, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of relief from cold in the next few days. For now, people will have to face cold for a few more days.

There will be problems due to dense fog

The Meteorological Department says that there is going to be severe cold in UP till January 13. Whereas in Bihar, there is a possibility of dense fog till January 12, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab till January 16. Talking about the capital Delhi, people here may have to face problems due to dense fog till January 17. Although people in Delhi are getting some relief due to sunshine during the day, but due to strong winds at night, they are experiencing shivering cold.

There will be no relief for the next several days

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold wave in Bihar till January 16. In Maharashtra, the temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two days. The minimum temperature in East and Northeast India may drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in two-three days. There is a possibility of cold wave in Western UP till January 13. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cold weather in UP for the next few days.

How long will we get relief from cold?

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant drop in the minimum temperature in all the states of North India for the next three days. However, after four days the minimum temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius. People may get some relief due to increase in new temperature. However, after two-three days, the minimum temperature will increase further, due to which people are likely to get relief from cold.
