Strict action has been going on against illegal Bangladeshis in India for some time. In April 2025, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had registered an FIR regarding illegal Bangladeshi infiltration. Now the National Investigation Agency i.e. NIA has entered the investigation of this case. According to the information, the investigation of the syndicate carrying out illegal Bangladeshi infiltration has now been handed over to the NIA. After several months of investigation conducted by Delhi Police, the case has been transferred to NIA.
More than a dozen accused arrested
According to the information, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had registered the FIR in April 2025. The FIR registered by the police includes serious sections related to criminal conspiracy. Taking action in this case, the police have so far arrested more than a dozen accused. These accused caught by the police have been accused of infiltrating from the border and making fake Aadhaar-Voter ID.
Network operating from border states
So far, the investigation conducted by the police has revealed that many networks are operating from the border states of India. After this, sections of forgery and Foreigners Act were added to the FIR. Now NIA will investigate the entire syndicate and money trail. There is a possibility of registering a new FIR by NIA in this case.
About 2200 Bangladeshis were deported from Delhi
Let us tell you that on the instructions of the Home Ministry, a campaign to identify illegal Bangladeshis was launched. Deportation of illegal immigrants is still going on with the help of FRRO. According to the information, about 2200 Bangladeshis have been deported from Delhi in 2025. Earlier in 2004, 14 Bangladeshis and in 2008 only 5 Bangladeshis were deported. Information has also come to light that most of the infiltrators had entered from the West Bengal border.
