Ban the movie ‘Parashakti’: Congress demand, what is the reason?

This Sankranti or Pongal has become controversial for the Tamil Nadu film industry. Dalpati Vijay starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’, which was supposed to be released on January 09, was not released. The movie is embroiled in controversy and the case is in court. ‘Parashakti’, which was released opposite ‘Jana Nayagan’, also faced censor problems, as many as 23 cuts were suggested for the movie. But finally the movie has been released and after the release the movie is facing one problem after another.

Like ‘Jana Nayagan’, ‘Parashakti’ is also a political movie. The movie ‘Parashakti’ covers the story of Tamils’ struggle against Hindi imposition. Also, the producers of the movie are close friends of DMK, the ruling party of Tamil Nadu, and it has been criticized that many pro-DMK elements have been included in the movie. In addition to this, now the Tamil Nadu Congress has raised its voice against the movie ‘Parasakthi’ and demanded that the movie be banned.

The Tamil Nadu Youth Congress raised its voice against the movie ‘Parasakthi’ and said that this movie is working to distort history. As shown in the movie, the Congress government in 1965 did not order the application in Hindi for post office posts. Also, there is a scene where the hero of the movie, Sivakarthikeyan, meets Indira Gandhi on February 12, 1965 in Coimbatore. Actually he never came to Coimbatore at that time. Also, in some scenes of the movie, there is a scene where Indira Gandhi is criticized. Real pictures of Indira Gandhi, K Kamaraj, Lal Bahadur Shastri are used and the climax shows that more than 200 people were killed in Pollachi. There is no evidence for this,” said Tamil Nadu Youth Congress Vice President Bhaskaran.

This movie is doing the work of distorting history and delivering wrong information to the people, and they demanded that this movie should be banned immediately. In addition to this, the creative director of the film Dev Ramant has also accused that the movie ‘Parashakti’ is being spread negatively, and Dalpati Vijay has accused the fans of deliberately spreading negative news against the movie ‘Parashakti’. The movie ‘Parasakthi’ is directed by Sudha Kongara and Kannada actress Srileela also acted in the movie along with Sivakarthikeyan.
