‘Toxic’ Teaser Mistake: Viewers Misled?

The teaser of the movie ‘Toxic’ is currently the most talked about topic on social media. The teaser, which was released on January 08, has already been viewed more than 300 million times. Along with the action in the teaser, there was also a loud discussion about the scene taking place inside the car. Yash’s character engages in sex inside the car. The energy generated from that action is shown to turn on the detonator and detonate the bomb where the villains are. But it is now being argued that this is practically impossible. So what’s wrong with the teaser?

Raghavendra, who claims to be a science student, said that the scene shown in the ‘Toxic’ teaser is scientifically impossible and has also given some fundamental reasons for it. As shown in the teaser, the device that the drunk driver hooks into the back of the car is called a plunger detonator. It is also known as Blasting Machine, Shot Exploder. It was designed in 1878. Its function is to turn on and detonate bomb detonators with the help of electrical wires produced by pressing a T-shaped rod on the machine. This is also shown in the teaser.

But pressing that T handle requires regular force or pressure. If observed in the teaser, due to the action going on in the car, the shock absorbers of the car play downwards and the T shape of the plunger detonator is pressed down and the electricity flows and the bomb explodes. But as all knowledgeable people know, the car does not fall from top to bottom due to the action going on in the car, instead, it falls from front to back. As shown in the teaser too, the woman is not sleeping in the car but is sitting on the seat. In another scene, she turns her back to Yash. Many people on social media have expressed the argument that the pressure cannot fall from top to bottom in these poses.

Also, plunger detonators are capable of detonating bombs placed at short distances. If more power is to be produced by them, the T shape should be lengthened and pressed from top to bottom. But the detonator in the teaser is short, the T-shaped neck also has very short travel. In this case, it is said that it is scientifically impossible for so many bombs placed in the cemetery to generate enough electricity to flow through such long wires.

Anyway, the sneeze bomb of the teaser of ‘Toxic’ is liked by many people for different reasons. Some are even arguing that this scene will not be in the movie. Everything will be known on March 19.
