‘It has nothing to do with us’; Censor Board’s Response to ‘Toxic’ Teaser Complaint

Yash Starrer ‘Toxic’ Teaser (Toxic Teaser) created not much of a stir. Many people who saw the teaser of this movie gave different reactions. Some people were displeased about the bold scenes in this teaser. In this regard, social workers and the Women’s Commission had complained to the Censor Board. He was forced to take action in this regard. However, the Censor Board has clearly said that it has nothing to do with us.

According to a report by NDTV, the Censor Board has said that it cannot interfere in this matter. Because ‘Toxic’ teaser has been released only on other social media including YouTube. Censor board gives certificate only to movies, trailers and advertisements released in theatres. They can’t give a thumbs up to what is released on YouTube.

The teaser of ‘Toxic’ has been released on YouTube. We cannot interfere in this. As of now, no application has been received for censoring Toxic. We have not censored any of the content of this film. If the Censor Board was known about the functioning of the Censor Board, this kind of complaint would not have been filed with the Censor Board.

Even earlier, there were questions about many bold contents released on YouTube. However, the Censor Board directly said that it cannot interfere in this matter. Once such bold content is seen while censoring the movie, the censor board can question it. A certificate can be issued. Now there is no problem for the film as the teaser has been released only on YouTube. Now the censor board’s statement has given a big relief to the ‘Toxic’ team.
