Balasore: A very painful accident has come to light from Chalanti village of Jaleshwar police station area of Balasore district of Odisha. Here, the fireplace burning to escape the harsh cold became a big tragedy for a family. In this accident, an infant of only two months was seriously burnt.
According to the information, the family members of Taran Hembram, resident of Chalanti village, were sitting near the fireplace in the courtyard of the house to get relief from the cold. Meanwhile, Taran’s wife was sitting near the stove with her two-month-old child in her lap. Meanwhile, a little carelessness of the mother proved costly and the child suddenly fell into the stove.
Burn more than 50% of body
As soon as the incident happened, there was chaos in the family. The family members immediately brought the child out from inside the stove, but by then more than half of the child’s body was burnt by the fire. The family members were shocked to see the condition of the innocent child.
Balasore Medical College Hospital Referral
The seriously burnt child was immediately taken to Basta Medical College Hospital. The doctors there provided first aid, but as the child’s condition was critical, he was referred to Balasore Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
At present the child is undergoing treatment in the hospital and his condition is said to be critical.
