President’s rule removed from Manipur, Home Ministry issued notification

New Delhi: President’s rule has ended in Manipur. The Home Ministry has issued a notification in this regard. Let us tell you that President’s rule is in force in Manipur since February last year. After continuous violence, President’s rule was imposed there.

It further said, “Under his experienced and visionary leadership, Manipur is ready to move forward on the path of peace, development and good governance, which will usher in a new era of stability and progress in the state.” Earlier, after reaching Lok Bhavan, 62-year-old Singh staked claim to form the government in Manipur.

The NDA delegation led by Y Khemchand Singh Singh met Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Lok Bhawan here and staked claim to form the government. The delegation that met Bhalla included two MLAs from the Kuki-dominated districts of Churachandpur and Pherzaul. Singh was on Tuesday elected the leader of the BJP legislature party and then the leader of the NDA legislature party in New Delhi. BJP MLA Thongbam Biswajit had earlier said that five MLAs, including Singh, would take oath as ministers.
