New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor stumbled and fell on the stairs in the Parliament complex on Wednesday. During this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and other MPs and security personnel standing nearby immediately handled Shashi Tharoor and helped him get up. Actually, when Congress MP Tharoor was passing through the stairs while talking to someone on the phone, Akhilesh Yadav was standing there along with other MPs of his party. Meanwhile, Tharoor staggered and fell on the stairs. Its video is also going viral on social media.

Congress MP told the extent of the injury

While sharing the video of his fall on the ax handle, Shashi Tharoor said that while descending the stairs of Parliament, I fell due to missing a step. Still a little sore, but I don’t think anything is broken, just a sprained ankle and a few bruised fingers. Hopefully, I will be fine in a few days. I held several meetings (including two with ambassadors) in my home office from 4 to 7:30 pm, with my feet propped up on a stool. I will get an X-ray done to make sure there is no fracture. There is just pain in some places.

In another tweet, Tharoor wrote in a poetic style, ‘The lamp that has to be lit in the storm will have to move carefully. I am okay…. The Congress MP said that he was not seriously injured. However, he will get his foot X-rayed on Thursday. Only then will you know how serious the injury is.
