The action thriller movie ‘Dhurandhar’, which created a tsunami at the box office at the end of last year, is now OTT It has also dominated the world. ‘Dhurandhar’ has set a new milestone by garnering 7.6 million views in its first weekend on Netflix. It became the first film in India’s post-theatrical digital release history to cross the 7 million mark in its first weekend.
Earlier Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ topped the list with 6.2 million views. Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ (5.9 million) and Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa 2’ (5 million) followed. Now ‘Dhurandhar’ has erased all these records.
According to statistics, ‘Dhurandhar’ has topped Netflix’s ‘Top 10’ list of non-English movies in seven countries. Interestingly, despite the ban imposed on the release of this movie in cinemas in Pakistan, it is at number 1 in the OTT trending there. The film has so far seen 26.1 million hours of viewing globally.

After the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, fans are eagerly waiting for its second part ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. The sequel will hit theaters on March 19. The much awaited ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ starring ‘Rocking Star’ Yash is also releasing on the same day and is likely to be a huge battle at the box office.
