Cold day alert in UP-Bihar, chances of rain in these states today amid cold

New Delhi: Today the weather condition across India is largely stable. The sky will be clear in most areas. It is still extremely cold in the states of North India. Dense fog is being seen in many states on Friday morning. Strong winds (20-30 kmph) may occur over northwest India during the next 2-3 days. The people of North India are not going to get respite from the cold right now.

Cold day alert in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is likely to prevail in the morning/night hours over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of frost on the ground at some places in Uttarakhand. Moderate level fog is also being seen at some places in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold day alert for these states.

Chances of rain here

There is a possibility of rain and snowfall at some places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on February 6. At the same time, during February 9 to 11, there may be rain and snowfall once again in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Lowest temperature recorded in Sikar

According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures are being recorded between 5-10°C in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh. Temperatures at many places over rest of North-West India, Central, East and North-East India remained 10-15°C during the last 24 hours. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains of India at 4.5°C was observed in Sikar (East Rajasthan).

How will the weather be in Delhi today?



The sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi and its surrounding areas on Friday. Winds can blow at a speed of 15-25 km per hour during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to remain between 22°C to 24°C and 08°C to 10°C respectively. The minimum temperature will remain close to normal. The sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi on Saturday also and light winds may blow. Light fog may remain during the morning.
