‘JC’ Movie Review: Kalasumelagara with Mass Masala

A lot of movies about murder and bloodshed have come and gone. It has a huge fan base. Those who have seen the trailer will know that Surya Prakyat starrer ‘JC: The University’ has also been made in a similar style. Dolly Dhananjay has invested in this movie. Here is the review of this movie.

Maddy (Surya Prakyat) is a college student. He is happy that he is home and in his college. He never dreamed that the underground world of Bangalore would be like this. However, there will be a situation where he has to go to jail. He experiences hell there. What is the reason for this? The story of the film is how life goes on. Within a few minutes of the start of the movie ‘JC’, what happened in the past and what has to happen in the future is shown. The story opens to the present day when the murder of the supposed main villain spreads like wildfire in the Bangalore underworld.

Surya Prakyat, who appeared as a romantic boy in the movie ‘Naduve Antarvirali’, played with knives and guns in the movie JC. Bathed in blood. The hero of the story takes the seven that fell on his cheek seriously and treads a path that he could not even dream of. His race started from there. As a lover boy, the hero of the story, who was his father’s favorite son, becomes a little demon at will. His acting attracts attention. He is covered throughout the movie.

Bhavana Reddy is seen in the role of Prakyath’s lover and looks cute. In terms of acting, he needs to be tamed more. Thriller Manju’s character needed more weight. Rangayana Raghu played the given role smartly. Among the villains, the characters of Kavala and Raaka are highlighted. The role of twins is also appreciated.

The director has tried to convince us that if we do bad deeds and go to jail, it is more cruel than the remorse that haunts us. There are frequent reports of irregularities in Bangalore’s Parappa Agrahara. Director Chetan Jayaram has written these kinds of incidents in an eye-catching manner. Character names like AZ, Twins, Kavala, Raka attract attention. This is a Pakka Raw film. A lot of blood flows here. There will be murders. It is for this reason that the film has been given an A certificate. So, no one can dispute about that.

So is this a perfect film? No. The duration of the film is 2.43 hours. The story of the first half moves between the past, the future, and the present. The interval block takes the film to another level. However, after the second half, the drag started. They had to experiment long for some scenes, like waving swords on screen. The movie would have been more beautiful if unnecessary scenes were removed. A lot of effort was put into showing the father-son sentiment and it seems to have been wasted. Even if there are four or five songs in the movie, the music doesn’t stay in the ears and lyrics in the mind. While the Masti dialogue is a plus in some areas, it is also a minus in some areas.
