According to the information revealed, on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, a private bus going from Bengaluru to Kalaburagi caught fire near Hanumanthapura Gate in Nelamangala taluk of Bengaluru Rural district, due to which a major accident was narrowly averted. According to reports, the incident took place around 1.30 am after midnight, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the road and lean into a roadside drain.

According to the information, when the bus was in an inclined position, the bus allegedly came in contact with the overhead power line, due to which a massive fire broke out. Luckily, all 30 passengers managed to escape before the flames spread through the bus. Despite the prompt arrival of Nelamangala Fire and Emergency Services, the bus was completely gutted within minutes.
Police registered the case

The lives of the passengers present in the bus were saved but their luggage and other personal belongings were burnt to ashes in the fire. A case has been registered regarding this bus accident at Nelamangala Rural Police Station and further investigation is underway.
