He said that this along with increase in exports will create lakhs of new employment opportunities for women and youth. Goyal wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has prepared the framework for an interim agreement with America.” This will open up a market worth $30 trillion for Indian exporters, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmers and fishermen. The increase in exports will create lakhs of new employment opportunities for our women and youth.

This will provide huge opportunities in the world’s largest economy (America) in key sectors like textiles and apparel, leather and footwear, plastic and rubber products, organic chemicals, home furnishing items, handicraft products and select machinery. Additionally, tariffs on a range of goods including generic drugs, gems and diamonds and aircraft parts will be reduced to zero, further boosting India’s export competitiveness and ‘Make in India’.
