In Pakistan, the rebellion against Shahbaz Sharif’s government and Asim Munir’s army reached Islamabad. A suicide attack took place during Friday prayers in Islamabad. More than 31 people were killed and more than 170 people were seriously injured. The thing to note is that this suicide attack took place just 11 miles away from the Pakistani Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
It has been revealed that the suicide bomber was a Pakistani and had visited Afghanistan several times. He entered the gate of Masjid Khadijatul Kurba and Imambargah located in Tarlai area of Islamabad and blew himself up with a bomb. Hundreds of people were present in the mosque for Friday prayers, so after the blast there was screams everywhere. There were blood splatters and dead bodies scattered all around. The explosion was so strong that its sound was heard up to five kilometers away. The glasses of nearby buildings were shattered. The family members of the people of the area who had gone to the mosque to offer namaz, immediately ran towards the mosque after hearing the loud explosion.
Masjid Khadijatul is a big mosque of Shia community. There is also a Madrasa and Imambara in the mosque premises itself. Due to it being a big Shia mosque in the area, there is a huge crowd of people offering namaz here on Fridays. That is why the time of Namaz was chosen for the suicide attack. The aim of the attacker was to go among the worshipers and carry out the blast but the security personnel became suspicious of his actions, they stopped him, the attacker took out his automatic rifle and started firing and by the time the guards could retaliate, the suicide bomber entered the gate of the mosque and detonated it. Islamabad Police IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi’s cousin has also been killed in this terrorist attack. Islamabad IG reached the spot, called an ambulance and the injured were taken to the hospital.
Although no organization has yet taken responsibility for this attack, Pakistan started blaming India and Afghanistan immediately after the blast. Both India and Afghanistan termed these allegations as baseless and said that Pakistan should pay attention to the terrorists being produced within itself, instead of pointing fingers at the neighboring countries.
Pakistan is a Sunni majority country. There, several hardline Sunni organizations such as Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi have been attacking Shia places of worship. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists also target Shia community in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but when Shahbaz government minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary reached the hospital to meet the injured, he also blamed India for this attack.
The surprising thing is that such a major terrorist attack took place at a distance of 17-18 kilometers from the office of Wazir-e-Azam Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad, but this news was not shown in the Pakistani media for several hours. When the local people started making videos of the blast and posting them on social media, people got information about the bomb blast.
Pakistani journalists say that the terrorists have directly challenged Army Chief Asim Munir by attacking in Islamabad. I sympathize with those who were killed in the suicide attack in Islamabad, they were innocent but Pakistan’s army is completely guilty and responsible for this. Those who run terrorism factories, arm youth and convert them into fidayeens, have to pay a heavy price for it again and again. The dead bodies lying in the mosque of Islamabad are another proof of this. The eyes of those ruling Pakistan are closed, their minds have become foggy. They do not realize that the terrorists have now reached Islamabad. ISI should stop this blood business now. The terrorists roaming freely on the streets of Pakistan should be handed over to India.
