A warning to the producer Kanakapura Srinivas of Prem who is furious

Producer Kanakapura Srinivas, who spoke at a recent Cinema related event, very valiantly spoke very lightly against many big actors and directors of the film industry. Especially about the director Prem, Arjun Janya had mentioned the names of many people and made personal insults. Director Prem filed a complaint against Kanakapura Srinivas with Film Chamber today. Srinivas has answered the allegations made against him and Khadak has also given warnings.

About ten years ago, he had given an advance of nine lakh rupees for making a film. I got an office, paid helpers and started working in films. But for three years he did not come to film. After that he came and asked to return the money. By then I had spent a lot of money on the story. I sat empty for three years to make his film, I had abandoned other films. However, if Sara Govindu told me, I would have returned five lakh rupees.’

But after all that, after years, he came to my office again and started saying that the money was not paid. Four lakhs is not big for me but his words and manner of speaking are not right. Now I have come to film chamber and complained. I have also filed a defamation case in the court. Whatever action should be taken according to the law, I have come here saying that it is not right to go directly to the court without informing the Film Chamber.

‘Srinivas has spoken very meanly. I from Mandya can speak worse than them. But I don’t talk, my rites are different. I don’t need much time, I have that much energy if I want to put them in trouble. But that is not all my personality. This was not happening before. When Ambarishanna was there, when Amma (Parvathamma Rajkumar) was there, no one had the courage to speak like this,’ said Prem.

Prem also lashed out at Kanakpura Srinivas for his light words about late Puneeth Rajkumar and the currently jailed actor Darshan. “It is not right to talk like this when a person is in trouble or not. They have also talked a lot about me. You have maintained financial discipline since I started my career. How many years I will do films, how much profit the producers will make from my films is up to them, these people can talk,” Prem growled.
