Daughter took intimate photo of her mother and sent it to her boyfriend, case registered

Bengaluru: A case has been registered under the IT Act and the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) against a 23-year-old girl and her alleged lover at Byatarayanpura police station in Bengaluru. It is alleged that he took and shared personal photographs of mother and aunty without their consent.

What was said in the complaint?

In the FIR registered on February 5, the complainant mother said that the incident happened at her house. According to the complaint, the daughter used the phone given by the father to capture intimate photographs of the mother while she was sleeping and also captured photos of the aunt while she was bathing. After this the daughter sent these pictures to her boyfriend. It was revealed from the mobile message that the boyfriend had ordered these pictures.

A month ago, the family checked the daughter’s phone after seeing her talking to an unknown boy on video call. The pictures were deleted after the confrontation, but the daughter fought and decided to marry her boyfriend and left the house. The daughter demanded action for insult and mental pain.

Police booked under IT Act 67 (transmission of obscene material), 66E (breach of privacy); A case has been registered under BNS 79 (outraging modesty), 3(5) (common intention), 77 (life imprisonment), 78 (provocation).

What is the whole matter?

In fact, a woman from Bengaluru was stunned when she saw her intimate picture in her 23-year-old daughter’s mobile. Apart from this, there was also a photo of her aunt taking bath in the daughter’s phone. After this, the woman lodged a police complaint against her daughter and accused her of sharing personal photos without consent.

The complaint said that the daughter was given a mobile phone for studies but she sent personal pictures to her boyfriend and also agreed to marry him. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered the case.
