Bell played 118 matches in his Test career, scoring 7,727 runs at an average of 42.69. Meanwhile, he had scored 22 centuries and 46 half-centuries. He scored 5,416 runs in 161 ODIs at an average of 37.87 and strike rate of 77.16. During this period he also scored 4 centuries. Since retiring in 2020, Bell has worked as a coach. He has previously served as the batting coach of the England Under-19 and England Lions teams, assistant coach at Hobart Hurricanes, consultant batting coach at Derbyshire and assistant coach of the New Zealand men’s team ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
