Veteran director Rajendra Singh Babu’s film ‘Veera Kambal’ will release across the state on February 27. Now that the moments of release are nearing, the film team is promoting each and every feature of Veera Kambal. There is a long story of decades behind the formation of Veera Kambal.
Rajendra Singh Babu has created this movie by collecting every inch of information about Kambal, which has a legend of about seven hundred years. Virendra Heggade, the deacon of Dharamsthala, has painted one of the most important characters.
The idea that Virendra Heggade has brought life to a character in this film came out years ago. However, neither the director nor the film crew had kept the secrecy without giving away more information about this. Earlier, the director has presented the features of the character played by Virendra Heggade to the audience. In addition, he also shared the reasons behind choosing him for the said role.
Rajendra Singh Babu was astounded as he came to know the history of Kambal and the unwavering loyalty of Virendra Heggade, the priest of Dharamsthala.
Virendra Heggade organized kambala on a large scale in the seventies, which was till then a private recreational sport of Tulunad region. After that it transformed into different forms and attracted the entire Karunad. Due to this reason, Babu had a desire to make Virendra Heggade play an important role in this movie.

Heggade, who has a special love for carpets, agreed to act. Virendra Heggade has brought life to the character that conveys a fundamental message like the soul of the entire movie. According to director Rajendra Singh Babu, his character is also one of the attractions of Veerakambal.
The film team is thankful that Heggade is also involved in this shoot with great excitement. This film is produced under the banner of Baba’s Blessing Films. Produced by Vinita Vijay Kumar Reddy and Arun Rai Todar. While Prakash Rai and Ravi Shankar have played the lead roles, Radhika Chetan has brought life to a special role.
Naveen Padil, Gopinath Bhatt, Bhojaraj Vamanjuru and other famous actors from Tulu theater background have acted in this film which will be released in Tulu language as well. Screenplay by Vijay Kodiyalbile, music direction by Manikant Kadri, cinematography by R. Giri, editing by Srinivas S. Babu, art direction by Chandrasekhar Suvarna Mulki, costume design by Kanta Prasadhan and Bhasha, Veera Kambala will release on February 27.
