The waves of Ganga river have swallowed another life in Roorkee. What you think is just an accident, is the horrifying result of a few seconds of carelessness. Watch how a promising student of IIT Roorkee disappeared in the waves before our eyes!

The matter pertains to Roorkee Municipal Corporation Ganganahar Bridge. It was Wednesday, it was sunny and Ashish Shukla, who was studying MBA at IIT Roorkee, had come to Solani Park with his friends to spend relaxing moments. Ashish, a resident of Banaras, did not know that this bank of Ganganahar would prove to be his last.

Friends kept shouting, Ashish got lost in the waves.

It is being told that while walking, suddenly Ashish’s foot slipped and he fell straight into the swollen Ganga river. The flow was so fast that Ashish did not even get a chance to control himself. Friends standing on the shore kept shouting, people ran to save him, but soon Ashish got lost somewhere amidst the waves.

Nothing is known even after hours

There is panic in the area after the accident. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. With the help of divers, every corner of the canal is being searched, but even after hours, no trace of Ashish has been found. Police and administration are repeatedly warning people not to go to the banks of the canal, but such carelessness is not stopping.
