Road worth Rs 3 crore cleaned in three months, people becoming victims of accidents

People have expressed their displeasure over the bad roads in Karnataka’s Mandya district. People here say that strict action should be taken against the person taking the contract of Mandya-Pandavpura Main Road. The repair work of the road connecting Mandya and Pandavapura was done three months ago, but now the road is completely uprooted. There are potholes in the road at many places and at many places the entire road has been uprooted. Due to this the old road has become visible.

Local people allege that the contractor did it without uprooting the old road. A new road was built over it. For this reason the new road was uprooted in just three months. A video of the road has also surfaced, in which many potholes are visible.

Work worth Rs 3 crore was done three months ago

People are getting troubled due to bad work. Along with the potholes on the road, the asphalt is also falling apart. Local people allege that due to bad roads many accidents are happening and people are getting injured. Mandya-Pandavpura main road was not repaired properly. Asphalt was laid on the road only 3 months ago. This work was done at a cost of Rs 3 crore after the road was damaged by potholes.

Demand for action against the culprits

Asphalt was laid in the 3 kilometer long road from Chikkamaralli Gate to Pandavapura. It is alleged that the contractor had laid asphalt again on the old asphalt. Due to this being the main road connecting Mandya to Pandavpura, thousands of vehicles ply daily. The drivers are angry with the contractors and officials doing bad work and are demanding immediate action against them.
