New Delhi: Jammu Division of Northern Railway has announced to run a special train on Holi keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. According to Jammu division officials of the Railways, special train number 04081/04082 will run between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, while train number 04603/04604 will run between Varanasi and Katra.
Special train will run from New Delhi Railway Station at 11:45 pm
According to the Railways, train number 04081 will depart from New Delhi Railway Station at 11:45 pm from February 21 to March 8 and will reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station at 12 noon the next day. En route, it will stop at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu and Udhampur stations.
Will run from Katra to New Delhi from 9:20 pm
In return, the number of this train will become 04082. It will run from Katra to New Delhi from 22 February to 9 March. It will leave Katra at 9:20 pm and reach New Delhi at 10 am the next day. This train will stop at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu and Udhampur railway stations. That is, people of Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Punjab will get relief from this train and will be able to easily have darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi on the occasion of Holi.
Special train will run from Varanasi at 5 am
Similarly, train number 04603 will run from Varanasi Junction railway station to Katra with four trips between February 24 and March 8. The train will leave Varanasi at 5 am and reach Katra at 6 am the next day. It will stop at Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu and Udhampur.
Train from Katra to Varanasi will run from 6:15 pm
During the return journey its train number will become 04604. This train will run from Katra to Varanasi with four trips from 22 February to 6 March. It will depart at 6:15 pm and reach Varanasi at 7 pm the next day. This train will stop at Jammu, Udhampur, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh. Railway officials say that the purpose of special trains is to make travel easy and convenient during festival times. Because there is huge crowd in regular service trains.
