Car crosses divider and collides with KSRTC bus, 5 people die tragically

Collided with a speeding bus in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Five people died in this accident. Five people died in a collision between a car and a KSRCT bus near Nelamangala on the outskirts of the city, police said on Sunday. This incident happened at midnight on Saturday. The car heading towards Bengaluru reportedly hit the divider, shifted to the other lane and then collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction.

According to the police, the collision was so strong that four people in the car died on the spot, while another seriously injured person was taken to the hospital, where he died.

All the deceased were 17-22 years old

Officials suspect that the car was traveling at high speed and the driver may have lost control, due to which the accident occurred. The car was badly damaged in this accident. All those who died were youth aged 17-22 years and were residents of Doddaballapura. However, all 43 passengers on board the bus survived without any major injuries. After the accident, the passengers of the bus were sent to another bus for onward journey. Madanayakanahalli police have registered a case. Further investigation is underway.

Statement of the mother of the deceased

Joint Commissioner of Police Karthik Reddy said the cause of the accident would be investigated and it would also be seen whether the driver of the car and the occupants had consumed alcohol or not. “We have collected blood samples and sent them to FSL for testing. Their background is also being verified,” he said. The mother of one of those who died said that her son had told her that he was going to the temple and would be late. “I have lost a son, who was grown up. He was working as a CCTV camera operator. They (all those who died) are friends, I don’t know whose car it is,” he said.
