According to the information revealed, a court in Gangavati has sentenced three culprits to death in the case of rape of a foreign woman and murder of a foreign tourist near Hampi. The rape of an Israeli woman and the murder of an American citizen in Hampi had shocked the entire country. While delivering the verdict in this case on February 16, Judge Sadanand Nagappa Naik ordered death penalty for the culprits.

The identity of the culprits came to light

Mallesh alias Handimall, Sai and Sharanappa, convicted in a rape and murder case, have been awarded death sentence by a Gangavati court. According to the information, this entire incident took place in the month of March last year near Tungabhadra Canal in Sanapura near Hampi. This incident of crime created a sensation throughout the country and was widely condemned. BJP had also fiercely attacked the Congress government of Karnataka regarding this incident and law and order.

Meanwhile, three people came on a bike and asked the tourists about the way to the petrol pump and demanded money from the tourists. After refusing, all three committed this heinous crime.
