Troubled by the delay in the release of this film, which will be completed in the year 2022, Navjot made an emotional appeal and said that he is tired of calling and messaging the producers, but he is not getting any response.

Navjot Gulati vented his anger on producer-director

The film ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ starring Mrunal and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles is still in the box despite being completed in August 2022. Its director Navjot Gulati, who is yearning for the release of the film, has expressed his anger against Maddock Films and co-producer Amar Kaushik. Navjot said emotionally, “I am tired of calling and messaging. This film will probably never be released now because they don’t care.”

Father kept asking questions from the hospital bed

Variety India Speaking to Navjot, Navjot revealed that his father, who passed away in 2024, spent the last 3 months of his life in a hospital bed. During that time he used to ask only one question again and again, “When will Pooja Meri Jaan be released?” Navjot said with teary eyes that his father’s last wish was to see this film on screen. Even after his father’s departure, the silence of the producers has left him devastated.

Amar Kaushik has stopped calling and messaging – Navjot

Navjot told that the film’s co-producer and ‘Stree 2’ director Amar Kaushik has completely stopped responding to his calls and messages. According to him, the last conversation between the two took place in October 2025. Since then he made every possible effort to contact him, but Amar has maintained silence. Navjot said that the future of the film about which there is no accountability among the producers now looks in the dark.

If I don’t raise my voice, my film will never be released.

Navjaet further said in the conversation, “I am tired of calling and messaging, but getting no response. I don’t want this film to become Shoojit Sircar’s ‘shoe bite’, which is only talked about but never released. I am afraid that if I don’t raise my voice today, they will never release this film, because they don’t care about it.”

‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ stuck in a big deal

The director alleges that Maddock Films is suppressing his film ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ in the greed of a big deal. His question is that when he is not getting the right price on OTT, then why is his film not being released in theaters like ‘Vadh 2’? According to him, Radhika Madan’s ‘Rumi Ki Sharafat’ and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Sarvagun Sampann; have also been stopped. They are only advised to be patient when it comes to films.
