Temperature rising in UP-Bihar-MP, chances of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Kerala

New Delhi: Due to increase in temperature in the northern and western areas of the country, the heat is increasing. Whereas due to active western disturbance, snowfall along with rain is being seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. A new Western Disturbance may affect the region from late tonight, causing isolated rain or snowfall till February 22.

Heavy rain warning in Tamil Nadu and Kerala

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in South Tamil Nadu and South Kerala today i.e. on Saturday. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in Uttarakhand on 22nd. It will also rain. There are chances of rain in Chhattisgarh and Odisha on 23rd and 24th.

Lowest temperature recorded in Narnaul and highest in Kerala.

The temperature is gradually increasing in many states of the country. Minimum temperatures of 12-15°C are being recorded in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. The minimum temperature here is registering more than normal. The lowest minimum temperature of 8.5°C in the plains of India was observed in Narnaul (Haryana). The highest temperature of 37.0°C was observed in Kottayam (Kerala) in the plains of India.

Maximum temperatures in Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe remained between 34-37°C. 30-34°C is being recorded in Western Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, 25-30°C is being recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature in these states was 3-5°C above normal.

The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature in Northwest India is likely to gradually increase by 2-4°C in the next 7 days. The maximum temperature in Central India is likely to increase gradually by 2-3°C in the next 2 days. Maximum temperatures may gradually increase by 2-3°C over Gujarat and Maharashtra in the next 2-3 days. There is no possibility of any significant change in the temperature of the rest of the country.

The sky will be mostly clear in Delhi-NCR. That means there will be sunshine during the day. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 27°C to 29°C and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 12°C to 14°C. Winds can blow at a speed of 10-15 km during the day.
