The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program of voter lists in Rajasthan has been completed and the Election Commission has released the notification of the final voter list on Saturday. The revised voter list includes about 5.15 crore voters from 199 assembly constituencies except Anta Assembly. More than 2.42 lakh names have been removed from the revised list, while names of more than 12.91 lakh new voters have been added. Let us know the complete news.
There are now more than 5.15 crore voters in Rajasthan
According to the Chief Electoral Officer, the number of voters at the time of launch of SIR on October 27, 2025 was 5.46 crore. Names of 41.84 lakh voters were removed at the stage of draft publication. In such a situation, more than 5.04 crore voters were left in the draft list published on December 16, 2025. After the release of the draft list, 12.91 lakh new voters were added and 2.42 lakh names were deleted. Now there are a total of 5.15 crore voters in the state.
562 transgenders included in final voter list
The Chief Electoral Officer congratulated the voters, election officials, political parties and other stakeholders for participating in the extensive amendment process. The final voter list includes 2.69 crore male voters, 2.45 crore female voters and 562 transgender voters. After the publication of the draft list, there has been an increase of 10.48 lakh voters in the voter list, which represents an increase of 2.08 percent. Jaipur has recorded the highest increase of 3.45 percent in the number of voters.
There was also improvement in sex ratio
After this amendment, the sex ratio has also improved, which has increased from 909 to 911. Jaipur witnessed an increase of 7 points, while Kota recorded an improvement of 6 points. The number of young voters aged 18-19 years has increased by more than 4.35 lakh, with Jaipur seeing the highest increase of 1.3 per cent. District level meetings were held with all political parties before the final publication.
Who all took part in SIR?
The Chief Electoral Officer said that the SIR was made successful with the active participation of District Electoral Officers (DEOs), 199 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 1,651 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), 61,136 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), lakhs of volunteers and major political parties from 41 districts of the state. Along with the district presidents, 1,08,252 Booth Level Agents (BLA) were also involved in the campaign. The Chief Electoral Officer also thanked the media for their awareness and positive cooperation during the entire process.
