Varanasi: Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth is in the news. ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court has ordered to register an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati on charges of sexual exploitation. Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s first reaction to the allegations against him has come to light.

What did Swami Avimukteshwarananda say?

Swami Avimukteshwaranand said on the allegations of sexual abuse against him, “The court has its own procedure. The court has registered the complaint and after registering they will investigate. We have informed the court that this case is fake. A person named Ashutosh (complainant) is registered as a history-sheeter in Kandhla police station in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. Many people are themselves victims and say that he (Ashutosh Pandey) has filed a complaint against them also. False cases have been filed against us, by a disciple of a person who calls himself Jagadguru. It means that Sanatan Dharma is not in danger from outsiders, who want to destroy the institution called Shankaracharya.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand said, “The procedure of the court is that after the complaint is filed, investigation is done. We have informed the court about the fake thing that has been brought before the court. There is a provision in Section 22 of the POCSO Act that if someone brings a fake case, then you can also go to the court. That’s why we have gone to the court. Now when the case is registered, this investigation will be done. This will reveal whether the story is true. Or a lie.”

Statement of complainant Ashutosh Pandey also came out

The statement of complainant Ashutosh Pandey has also come to light in this matter. He said, “Today the court has ordered to register an FIR against heinous criminals like Avimukteshwaranand and his disciple Mukundanand, and this order has been issued for those minor children. Prima facie, we have got justice. Avimukteshwaranand used to commit obscene acts and sexual crimes with small children. Along with registering the FIR, the court has also ordered investigation of the evidence given by us.
